And Seeker's armgaurd for that matter. On items like these that stack, when I upgrade it do i lose the stacks, and its just to help early game? If I keep them, and I buy the item out completely skipping the component stage, do I get max stacks or 0 and should infact farm it before upgrading it?
The stacking effect on Jaurim and Seeker is there for if you build it early-game. It allows the item to gain effectiveness over time, making it worth picking up early if you need that stat combination. However, the total bonus stats from the stacks are less than the stats of the items into which they upgrade, so skipping that step completely misses out on nothing.
Seekers gives you 25 armor and 20 AP. It can stack up to 40 armor and 35 AP. Add in the Needlessly Large Rod that builds into Zhonyas for a total of 40 armor and 95 AP. Zhonya's gives you 50 armor and 100 AP.
A fully-stacked Seekers has less of every stat than Zhonya's. This means you can rush Seekers early if you need the armor, and scale a bit with it, but you lose nothing by upgrading it.
Similarly, Jaurim's Fist gives 150 HP and 15 AD. It can stack up to 300 HP and 15 AD. All three of its upgrades have more HP and more AD than a fully-stacked Jaurim's. So you can rush it if you like, but you lose nothing by upgrading it.
