Bring Back Unskilled Player as a Report Category

> I'm Wondering why the "unskilled player" report category was removed, and if it can be brought back, even if it was only a placebo, as I've heard from friends. I can only imagine how many times I was reported for this when it was still an option, but, ever since its removal, I've feared suspension due to angry teammates reporting Me for "intentional feeding," since there's no other way to vent after a game, and people love to blame others. If everyone who has asked the other 8 players in the game to, "Report the Shaco feed," or whatever champion I did badly with that game has actually done so, I've lost count of how many of these reports I've likely accrued over time as well. Your Instant Feedback System FAQ states that unwarranted punishments are unlikely, but it doesn't say they're impossible, and with the amount of reports I've probably had made against Me by this time, it's not that difficult to see I've finally beaten those odds, and it's ruining My day.

I copy/pasted this from My original ticket, to which an automated response told Me to post here. Now, I've dropped My share of F-bombs, oh, yes, I have, but the e-mail I received didn't say I was suspended for offensive language - it claims I fed intentionally, when I'm just really freaking bad, and, if I actually continue to play League after this suspension ends, I fear I'm only a few more bad plays/games away from a permanent ban on an account people have spent money on.

The e-mail also told Me to play with friends - I was. I was playing with Two People I've Known since I was 7 years of age, and They are 100% of the reason I started to play League in the first place, as something to do even though We'd all moved away from Each Other. This e-mail had the audacity to state I intentionally ruined Their game, despite being in a call with them, and having Them reassure Me that We might still win the game this e-mail linked to. What could possibly be gained from deliberately ruining a thing that's been keeping Us together, despite being on opposite sides of the country? Making this worse is how a machine, or even a person, if these reports are actually reviewed by any real person, would make such allegations, even though My Friends were there, watching Me try & fail, doing Their very Best to keep My spirits up every moment of that game...

EDIT: I should clarify - even "Unskilled Player" is only brought back as a placebo option, any time I'm reported as unskilled would lessen the chance of a permaban for not being good enough at this game.

Unskilled Player was used to help place people appropriately at the beginning, but lost its use and became a placebo report option for salty players. Nobody was ever punished for it.

If someone is reporting for whatever they can just because they don't like you, all it's going to do is lower their report value, and their report doesn't hurt you. Unless you're actually being toxic of feeding or w/e, there's nothing to worry about from spite reports.

Looking at your match history, you frequently have a negative KDA; that is a pretty hard thing to do without intentionally feeding, at least in that many matches. If you're going to run in and die repeatedly, you might consider just sticking to normals until you can manage the risk better. To appeal your ban, submit a Support Ticket.

Like I said, I am REALLY bad at this game. I tried the support-ticket thing, and all I got was an automated write-off dismissing Me & blaming Me once again, making Me feel worse.

I have played one champion for almost every game I've played the entire year I've been playing. I would occasionally try others, but that was a rarity, most often because somebody else banned or picked My champ first, and those games never went very well for Me. I can pretend to play one champ well {I've never referred to Shaco as My best champ - ALWAYS as My Least Worst}, and have no experience with others, but, due to this Hextech Crafting thing & its limits of one-chest-per-champion-per-season, I have to play champs I'm unfamiliar with in normal games to get those rewards, which My Two Friends tend to unlock for Me, and I don't have much reason suffer playing those champions in normals again until next season once They do. And most of My games ARE normals, including the last one that got Me suspended. If I could unlock chests in bot-games, believe Me, I wouldn't EVER play anyone but Shaco {or, more recently, Yorick} in a normal game, because I Know damned well how bad I am at this. You have no idea how often & how much I tell people and especially Myself these things.

Making My fear of unjustified permabans worse is Hextech Crafting. You can only earn keys to get into those tantalizing, possibility-filled, loot-laden chests -through Victories,- and that's going to make more people than ever believe winning actually "matters," and I'm a super-easy blame-shift/outlet when they don't win, even in games I wasn't doing the worst in. That "Report the Shaco feed" line, I Remember especially well because of the circumstances in which it happened - I was toplane AP Shaco, against a Tahm Kench, a champ I had never played as or against beforehand, who entered the lane with two kills because of an invasion, then killed Me 3 times directly under My turret. His first kill was Our team's Kindred, who immediately typed, "Sorry, I wasn't looking at League," and this very same Kindred demanded everyone report Me after the game, and stuff like this has bothered Me for quite a while.

you are aware "unskilled player" reports never actually did anything? it was there as an outlet for people. it probably cought 90% of the reports that people just issued to vent over the frustration of a lost game.

it was a filter mechanism that got rid of most of the unwarranted reports, so riot employees had to go through a smaller pile to find actual banworthy offenses.

if that option wasnt there, people would have reported everyone who lost his lane for "intentionally feeding". which would make it almost impossible to find the few cases in there of people actually throwing games by repeatedly feeding.

This was kind of My whole point - re-implement "Unskilled Player" as a reportable category, claim it works wonderously now {regardless of whether it actually does anything or not}, and let players hit that placebo-button as much & as often as they like, so that I, and any other player that sucks at League as much as I do, won't get reported for "intentionally" feeding anywhere near as much anymore.

They're pretty good at distinguishing intentionally feeding from just being bad. As long as you're not intentionally feeding, you should worry about it. They do a lot fancier stuff than just look at your kda, so even if you're 0/7/0 or something getting reported for feeding won't be an issue if you were still trying and just playing poorly. Your mmr will fall to a more appropriate level if you're doing that bad compared to your lane opponent(s), but no disciplinary action would be taken.

If it's mobi boots/zeals sprinting down lane on the other hand, that's a problem.

Fancier stuff. It's not enough. How am I supposed to not-worry about something_ that's already happened to Me_, especially when I'm reading that players who have been punished before get faster & harsher punishments the next time around? I am really, really bad at this game, and the Two Friends I keep mentioning I play with in these posts are WAY higher ranks than I can Hope to achieve. If Their mmr affects My games when We're together, it just makes My games worse, especially when I'm stuck laning against an Ekko/Yasuo duo that just repeatedly dive-murder My champ directly under My turret from the very start of the game, to the point I have well over a dozen deaths & got suspended for it. Even though never leaving base after the 3rd or 4th time I got dived {dove?} like that would've improved My Friends' and the random's chance to win tremendously by not dying ALL the deaths, I can't very well do that because of leaver-buster {and the only AFK warning I've ever received was due to a power outage}.

I don't Know what zeals are...

Better yet, if a player spams the "Unskilled Player" report button, slowly reduce their mmr and put a watch on them in case they happen to be a flamer.

Use it to root out the true toxic players in the game.
