Mumu q on jungle monsters

So I've been a mumu main for about a year now and I've noticed that when I use my q to reset the jungle monsters' auto attacks, (specifically blue buff) sometimes I guess it bugs out and they hit me anyway? I know it doesn't have anything to do with my timing, and whether the monster's auto attack has already registered because I've tested it and there have been times where I've q'd blue buff 1-2 seconds before it autos and it still goes through. Is this a bug? Or is this the way that the jungle monsters are coded to behave?

Depends on the moment the jungle camp is in. I don't know exactly where it would register the attack for most monsters, my guess is, lets say for golem, whenever the fist reaches max height. I know that if I interrupt before that instance, I will not take damage.

i disagree tbh, even this week i played few noc games, easily feared red buff as he was just about to attack me and it canceled, and if you've played jungle y'know how stupid red buff is with its autos (could goddamn flash away and his auto would still go off)

Where it registers the attack, I don't know. I'm sure if you asked KR when the auto attack registers, they'll pull up the time sheets within the mods of their third party client. I myself never bothered to figure it out.
