HOW DO YOU FIGHT DRAVEN?!

I have recently taken up playing ADC to widen my roles and I have gotten pretty good at playing against most ADCs. That's a different story for draven every time I see him I already know it's gonna be a bad game. It seems as every time I encounter him even if I win lane he comes back and ends up tearing my whole team to shreds. My favorite adc's are ezreal, jhin, caitlyn, and kallista with this information who should I play when I see him picked and how should I go about the game to make sure I can stop him from steamrolling through me and my team.

Make him miss his Axe catches, You can see where they go so after he throws an axe harass hard and zone that area because most Draven's have a reaction/urge to walk towards that thing. You can predict his movement so take advantage. Caitlyn/Lux combo is the counter if you can aim skill shots. Basically harass/poke till he can no longer fight you head on.

Been a while since I've done a lot with Draven, but I recall Cait being a good option.

Greater range to bully him.

Traps to drop under his axes to knock him off them.

General zoning with traps to make his rush in follow predictable paths.

Easier to contribute to teamfights later, due to range and no axes to juggle.

She'd die in a straight up DPS contest in the early game, but she should rarely be giving him that option in the first place.

Still, supports can tilt all that.

You don't fight Draven. Draven fights you.

Gotta count on your support. Its very rare to see an ADC early beat a Draven. Zyra poops on his because at level 2 she can spawn a plants and snare him when he goes to catch an axe and with an adc who outranges you can chunk at least 1/3 or his health with a short trade

He's an early game champion who's kit is solely meant for snowballing. You just have to not fight him early and out team fight him later

1

he is much better in lane where he can easily stack double axes, than in skirmishes where positioning and movement constraints, as well as cc abundance, deny him axe catches.

so wait him out

2

champions with good area denial and effective harass with spells can deal with him early on.

3

he has more recovery frames than other ADCs because of the axe catch mechanic you can abuse him when he is trying to stack axes on creeps.

4

stack axes = push hard. call jungler and profit.

5

see (1), it's the most effective strategy.
