I got an S- for this game, which was my first time supporting with him since his rework. Can't say much more than that, but I was very happy with it, especially since I'm having a hard time getting S's with my favourite champions ever since hitting mastery 5 with them.

dang. i can't tell... maybe it's the kills? i heard the grading system is universal, not built for individual roles ( which would be kinda poopy, not sure if it's true though )

Just remember that the grading system is per role. Since most Tarics go support, the requirements to earn an S is much higher there. If you want an easier time getting an S on Taric, bring him anywhere but bot.

However, if you want to truly distinguish yourself as a top-tier Taric support, then keep going until you earn enough S as support. :)

Ohhh. I understand! So, from what I gather, keep tryharding! Thanks :D

It's easier to get S's on champs in their non "meta" positions. Something about the way about it having less data or people trolling/doing badly that if you play a champ decently non meta S's are to easier to get.

Also in general support S's are hard to get because it overvalues kills. In my observations supports that get lots of kills when they're not supposed to get the most S's.

In general S's are harder to get in 20 min stomps too. Longer games slacken the grade as there's less data to compare to/ more chance of death/ was less stompy too. Also 20 min victories tend to be favorable to good scorelines so it's harder to "stand out"

For farming roles it values farm a bit too much as well. Playing a champion in non meta and farming well without dying too much almost guarantees you an S. If you're trying to grade with a killer champ playing cheese support and collecting kills is a good way to get an S too (it will know you're a support)

For lanes: 8 cs a min + good kda and tower participation/ 9-10 cs a min not dying

Jungle: generally 5 jungle cs a minute even when it's so late you don't need gold anymore keep it up; or you absolutely crazy stomp the game, like insanely crazy

Supports: KS all da kills, don't die

That actually made sense! I suspected the kills had a say in it, sadly. Thank you for the explanation, as well as talking about the other roles! God have mercy on the souls of supports trying to get their mains to lvl6...

As a support main who struggled with the same problem and finally learned how to consitantly get S i can help you and i got some good tips for ya (: . Your score is great and keep that up, some kills, LOW deaths, and LOTS of assists is a must. The thing your missing though is probably 2 things. CS and warding/destroying wards. I noticed that when i had about 80-100 cs as a support and my score was good i would get an S. And if i got the same score but no CS I would get A. Obviously dont take cs from your adc. However when the mid-late game starts and everyone groups. After winning a team fight instead of pushing with the rest of the team go to another lane and get some cs and push the wave. (your not gonna do much to towers anyways. This was the difference for me that i went from A's to S's. Make sure when you do leave to clear a wave or two, you do it when its gonna help the team and not hurt. So make sure to get some cs around 20min and higher and mantain good k/d/a and youll get S with taric alot. Plus pushing the lane out helps the team a bunch.

Second alot of people belive warding gets taken into account for getting grades. Riot wont release exactly how grades are made so this is just a theory but a popular one. Alot of players say that for supports the amount of warding and ward destroying you do gets taken into account. You may believe this or not idk, however I think it cant hurt and its part of a supps job anyways so i just make sure to switch to a sweeper and also have a sightstone and to use them.

Lastly check for when the new patch 6.14 comes out. Because riot said there gonna update how supports get graded and improve it which i cant wait for cuz its needed. Also I learned this tip from a friend of mind thats diamond that i didn't know until he told me. If you do no damage to an enemy champ, but you heal, shield, buff, or increase the mov speed of a team mate and they get a kill, you will get an assist. For example: lets say im playing janna. and i see an enemy graves runnin with no health and a lux thats on my team ulting him from far away for the kill, ill throw a shield on lux just to get an assist. Even though its not really helping her cuz shes not taking any damage, it still gives me an assist. you might have known this but i thought id share it with you anyways. If you read this whole thing let me know and tell me if this helps [slayer-pantheon-thumbs]

Yeah, I usually don't get too much cs, just what I manage to get with Relic early when I'm on lane with adc. later when the whole team groups&I have the active (so I don't steal their farm) I try to get minions, but the team is too stupid to let me. I even tried explaining what Relic does... no luck. I will try to push more often when needed& someone else can't get to it quick enough, thanks for that tip! Didn't think about that. usually I don't want to stray too far from the team except when I ward objectives. About wards, I ward literally everything every second, usually my first B i buy sightstone especially if they have annoying jungle, but to be honest, I don't destroy wards that much. I do use sweeping lantern sometimes ( but not enough as I should), but usually the rest of the team takes it. I will try to focus more on these things!! Thank you so much :) I didn't know about that update! I can't wait. I'm really trying here, haha, and I will pay more attention to the things you told me! I did know about the assist thing, it's pretty cool. Usually I spam shields on allies anyway, just so I can use their reach to cast E and they can stun them if I'm too far away. Thank you so much!!! Hopefully I will be able to get more S now, as well

No problem bud (: , and it seems like you goin through the same problem as me lol In lower elo since at lest half the players arent very smart. And its hard to support players that dont play too well lol. Some dont even know how a relic shield works like you said, like i try to tell my adc to let me take cannon minion cuz it gives you and i the gold but they dont understand. I decided to just play adc and mid to carry myself into a better elo like high gold or plat so that i can go back to support and support people who know the game and are alittle more mature. Good luck to ya!

I get S+ on Taric when I have

  1. compitent adc
  2. am vs enemies that are easy to punish (IE bad positioners, bush face checkers, and duo squishy low mobility)
  3. if you get a lead start pushing objectives hard and punishing enemies that are behind even harder.
  4. Far enough ahead buy IBG and proceed to tank smash into enemy teams with a 4man rolling death squad behind you.

Managed to do this i think 4 times so far.

Really high elo? Sorry I have no idea there. I onow you guys play a lot different and are harder to punish it seems.

I usually try to push objectives but most junglers just farm or solo all game instead of helping, or they have the worst timing and try objectives when the enemy team is behind us. It's hard to mobilise my team to stay together most of the time. Hahah, definitely not high elo. I'm a silver skrub tryhard. I usually build IBG on Braum rather than Taric, because with Braum I focus more on autos for his stun passive. Thank you for the tips!
