They won't put in a Conquerer for AP because then they'd just change Conquerer to be for AP as well, and because
would abuse the ever-loving shit out of it.
Odds are it'd be some kind of cooldown-reset mechanic (an entirely spell-based
, perhaps?), or something for mages who are defaulting to Aery solely because they can't reliably land comet due to a lack of CC.
The big theme with Sorcery, especially its Keystones, is "More uses, lower damages", both for the cooldowns and the damages. Comet isn't huge damage, but it's one of the smallest-cooldown keystones in the game (potentially able to be reset in the space of a single second, if you just had enough single-target spells you could cast), Manaflow band encourages and enables more spells to be cast, Aery has about a 4s cooldown (on average, for me, at least), Phase Rush is more or less a smaller version of
, scorch is a tiny amount of damage every few seconds, and so forth. So any new keystone or rune would also fit into it. We also see a lot built around movement speed (Celerity, Waterwalking, Nimbus Cloak, Phase Rush), so any new rune could possibly dip into that.
Again, back to the cooldown mechanic, we could see some kind of CDR-based Lethal Tempo, where hitting an enemy with a spell/casting your ultimate grants you double/10-30% additional CDR and maximum CDR for a small duration.
