We have to talk about this. Gold 4 - Gold 1 in 3 days 83% winrate
Ok so a while ago I made a thread describing how overpowered botlane AP mages are, so I did a little experiment. I played Veigar APC botlane with a zilean duo for most of the games. I managed to get 83% Winrate over 24 games, where I won 20 and lost 4 because of some uncarriable teammates... My profile: https://euw.op.gg/summoner/userName=DawncYxDq
Using this tactic, I managed to climb from Gold 4 to Gold 1 in 3 days with minimal effort. I was against many ADC mains with over 200k points that do deserve to win, but no matter how good they are they cannot escape the veigar Q > R ( E W Q R early ). Furthermore, I was able to take TP into lane with absolutely no penalty; the enemy botlane ( If its a normal botlane ) will not stand a chance against you since you have a powerful disengage and a ton of range to be able to safely farm early for that level 6 powerspike.
Ap botlane champions are overpowered since
- The enemy ADC will not be building any magic resist early ( unless boots ofc, still unusual purchase ) and you will force them to take cleanse or some other defensive spell which will become useless later on in the game.
- No matter the matchup, you always win lane. There is no counterplay unless you do a major fuckup ( In veigars case for example, even if you hard fuckup you still are able to come back with a simple Q R at 20 minutes )
- While being 0/0/0 you are perfectly able to 1shot a 10/0 OTP adc, with no chance for losing
- You gain an extreme advantage overall in game since the enemy botlane is constantly behind, so they will not have any game impact
Someone has to fix AP champions botlane, or ADC's are going to die, the high skillcap required for ADC champions does not reward the player in the slightest against an ap matchup, and even if they were to win early game they get melted at 20-30+ minutes because of the burst damage.
I am currently HIGH-Gold on this test account, and by the look of things I expect to hit High-Plat / Low diamond by the end of next week. I want to see how far I can take this.
For those interested in trying this, here is the build, runes, summoner, skill path and build path I run every single game WITH NO EXCEPTION: Runes: Sorcery: Arcane comet -> Manaflow band -> Transcendence -> Gathering Storm Inspiration: Magical footwear -> Cosmic insight 1-10% CDR -> +9 adapt force -> +8MR
Build in order:
-->
-->
-->
-->
-->
-->
-->
-->
Summoners: Flash TP
skill order: Q E W Q Q R Q E Q E R E E W W R W
I max e second to be able to lane the combo without the support/team interfering with me, in theory by 15 minutes you already have ludens and sorcery boots
Playstyle:
DO NOT BUY CONTROL WARDS, you have to finish your build ASAP and can't be bothered on buying wards, besides they can't kill you if they're dead xD
Early game ( level 1 - 6 ) Do not be too aggressive, farm and punish ONLY WITH Q if they try to be aggressive. Stack your mana flow band ASAP and try to get a q to kill a minion and then hit the champion. Recall if low, only use TP if you will lose a lot of farm to tower/ If they are low enough for you to kill. Recall and tp back to lane immediately if level 6 with enough gold to buy
. This is your powerspike since it lets you use your abilities at the enemy thanks to the mp recovery every level up. Try to get as many free qs on the enemy and try to avoid farming minions with q, as hitting the enemy still gives you a stack.
Mid game ( Level 6 - 11 ) Get that bot tower, they cant contest you at this point as they just die if they try, if the jungler comes put the cage in the botlane face and kill the jungler to then walk away with a free kill. If the tower is down go look for other lanes for platings / free kills. DO NOT ROTATE TOP AFTER FIRST TOWER. You want to be against 2 opponents since you get a stack every time you hit a champion, and the more champions the better. Get infernal drake
Late game ( 11-18) At this point, just boop em, 1shot everything and stay at a safe distance. Do your deadly Q --> R combo on their carry, there is no counterplay, no need for stun. If you have a difficult matchup/someone that counters you that is fed on the enemy team, ask your top laner to go to another lane to splitpush, you don't need him anyway since you are 99.9999% of your teams damage.
