This Grading System Sucks

Every single game i play i go so positive with Trundle jungle, i single handedly helped carry my last game. I got us all but one drake, we got the elder dragon and baron because of me and i was there almost everytime we got a turret. I went 10-6-21 and i did so much damage, i think i had the most damage output and the most amount of healing and out of the 43 kills my team got i was there for 33 of them kills. I also finished with 130 cs and 16k gold (the most amount out of both teams)

AND I DIDNT EVEN GET AN S-??? This happens every single game and i wonder how others with lower scores and lower presence and differences made during the game get an S??

Lemme ask you something...

Wards. Do you buy pinks? Do you place yellows as often as possible? Do you sweep/destroy a lot?

Also, do you cs in lane... when teammates back? to push a lane after a gank? take turrets as often as physically possible?

And as the above poster said, you're graded vs other trundles in said role. not sure why this is difficult for people to understand...

I bet those Trundles who received S grades warded often. It seems that when people are whining about not getting S grades they always forget to mention how much they ward. I bet they don't.

It is easy to assume that but i must disagree, unlike a lot of junglers Trundle mains including myself are able to roam quite a bit and when i do and when i have a ward off cd then i was always place them in the enemy jungles and teammates lanes.

You didn't ward enough and that is why you didn't get an S grade. I'm sorry but if we are to believe anything that you said then that is the reason you didn't get it. The other reason would be that the other Trundles did way better than you did and raised the curve.

Not true when other teammates with yellow trinket were dropping more wards per game than you in both of the two games you mentioned. Looking at the results is extremely easy.

Here Azir warded more than you and only Bard bought pink when honestly 5 pinks on the map helps all of you.

Both top and mid warded more than you, and mid even bought a pink.

There's assumptions, then there's cold hard facts. If others on your team (besides support) are warding more than you, you are not warding as much as possible.

I scored an end-game Quadra Kill as Veigar in my last game...

A+

I think it's deliberate to keep people out of level 6.

CS and Deaths? wards? turrets?

it all counts, just a qaudra isn't going to net an S

The mastery system grades you based on your performance compared to other players in that champion/role combination. The result is that champions played in their most common roles have the most difficulty getting higher grades, (because getting fed is more common) but at the same time I can go Varus Support, go 8/10/12 with 35 cs and get an S. There's also Taliyah, who had the lowest winrates in the game in every role, so doing good on her gave you much easier S' than anyone else in their usual roles.

If you want an easier time getting an S, take Trundle to a role he is awful in. (normals please) If you do kind of good as Trundle mid or something, it's the equivalent of doing insanely good as Trundle jungle.

Trundle Jungle isn't that common though anyway. (~10% of Trundle games maybe?) My guess is that it considered your 6 deaths too many. Maybe everyone who plays Trundle Jungle does good? Hell if I know what the situation is, but these are the mechanics of earning higher grades.

It should not be that way and as Mal The Red said, i think they are trying to prevent us as Trundle is my only main and is not common and my last game i went 6-1-11 just now and still only got an A+. Its so busted as garen got an S- when he went 8-6-3 Toplane.

No they are not. You are compared to other Trundles in the role you pick. Don't like it? Blame all the other Trundle players doing better than you, not Riot. As said, 6 deaths was likely too much two games ago. Besides that the games were long enough you definitely could have gotten more cs and warded more.

Take this as signs of where you're not as strong and improve on them. Or if you're really put out by it take Trundle to the support role, play aggressively, ward a bunch and you'll likely net a S- easily.

You're picking a more difficult role to get S- on honestly. Junglers are expected to do very well and obviously Trundle junglers are if you're just missing the mark.

seems like anytime there's something to be EARNED in this game there will be people complaining it's too hard

My 1st trundle S came with a KDA of 12/0/something. I don't have mastery 5 on him so I'm not getting tokens

From my experience to get an S on a carry you need double digit kills and no more then 2 deaths. For supports and tanks I'm not sure but that's how I got mastery 7 on fizz and yasuo and mastery 6 on wukong, hecarim, and vel'koz

I get S often here is a few tips....

  • Drop wards.... like crazy. For whatever reason if you have a high ward count it helps your score sometimes even more than your KDA.
  • Don't die. A 5/1/3 will be considered better than a 12/4/20 even if the KDA is exactly the same
  • CS more, the grade is not compared towards your opponents that game but towards an average so 130 CS in a 40+ min game is quite low. It shoudl be at least 200 but it should be closer to 300. You are getting 3.25 CS/min while the average in silver is around 4.5-5 CS/min
