Riot's 10 ban system is basically prisoners dilemma.

Lets say there is a very annoying very popular high win rate snowbally champ.

This champ really fuck up the game (like Mordekaiser for instance after the rework).

However this particular champ isnt anyone's preferred ban, each one of the 10 players have a specific ban in mind which they dont want to face (I believe thats the current argument right? each team has 5 bans?).

But Mordekaiser has to be banned or else the game is ruined! (and no you cant count on first pick because this is solo q, the first pick player may not own the champ or is simply retarded).

Now we get the dilemma, If both teams ban the champ, 2 players scarified their bans and wasted them, If both teams relied on the other then the champ will pass and the game is fucked. The optimal case is if one team bans the champ but how could you know as a player?!

This whole thing would be solved if the balance state was a bit better, however its not. so we asked for a tool to solve the balance problem ourselves (10 champs removed) but sadly we wont get it.

I don't see the problem with duplicates. You still got the champion you wanted out of the game, and that is what matters.

Only reason you would have a problem with dupes is if you seem to think bans exist as a way for you to "fix" the game.
