A Solution to Instalockers

League of Legends is a fantastic and fun game. However, it is sometimes filled with people who can be extremely selfish or are massive trolls. One thing done by players that is both selfish and trollish, is instalocking (or autolocking as known to others). Instalocking is the act where as soon as a player is accepted into a queue, they pick a champion they want and lock in without ifs, ands, or buts. Instalocking is an extremely selfish act and can throw entire games before they even begin. For example: last night on my smurf account (I made the account to learn to play new champions that I have no clue how to play such as , , and . We all know how difficult it is to learn to play these champions and trying to learn to play them on my level 30 account was proving to be fruitless.) the game was thrown because a player instalocked while everyone else locked in other roles/champions, leaving me to support as . Now, I would've been okay had the player known what he/she was doing, however, the player ended up feeding the enemy laners quite well which completely threw the entire game. We need to stop this from continuing and I am here to propose a solution.

The answer is pretty simple. Riot should develop a system that sniffs out instalockers above summoner level 10, and gives them 3 clear and concise warnings. After 3 strikes, you're out. Personally, I think the player's IP should be banned from the game so that hey are not eligible to create another account and start the process all over. However, if that is too harsh, then their accounts should at least become suspended. Keep in mind that League of Legends is a game that relies heavily on teammates communicating with each other and playing together towards a common goal: victory. However, the act of instalocking absolutely ruins those ideas and throw entire games off. I am tired of seeing instalockers left and right going unpunished for what is quite frankly, a horrendous experience for the rest of the team to have to bear. I lost 5 out of my 7 games yesterday due to players instalocking characters then going into a different lane than what they are designated to do. Yasuo jungle? Sure. Break the meta if you have half a clue with what you're doing but jungling as Yasuo because you're left with no other lanes or champions and then wasting 45 minutes of 4 other people's time because you instalocked should not be acceptable.
