Soraka is still in the game. If there is 1 champion where all choices you can make concerning facing him/her are WRONG choices, it's Soraka. 2v2 bot? Choice 1: focus ADC. Soraka spam heals, exhausts, silences, idk, double kill. Wrong choice. Choice 2: focus Soraka. Soraka spams Q, silences, exhausts, enemy ADC has free damage on you, double kill. Wrong choice. Choice 3: run away. Free damage on you. You will be zoned or forced to recall. Wrong choice.

Teamfight? Choice 1: assassinate a carry. Soraka spam heals, AoE silences you, you're dead, teamfight lost. Wrong choice. Choice 2: assassinate Soraka. Entire enemy team piles on you and you're dead. Wrong choice. Choice 3: don't teamfight and let them get free barons and dragons. You lose the game. Wrong choice.

There's a lot more but I'm too lazy to type more.

If you're entirely unable to kill a backline squishy without losing the game over it, then your problem isn't Soraka.

2v2: Choice 4: Pick a long ranged ADC so you ain't going near that bitch, make sure your support has long ranged as well. Something like Varus and Nidalee. Decent choice.

Teamfight Choice 4: if you have 5 people on 1 target she won't be able to heal more than 1 w and an ult. That amount of health is negligible when a frail target like ADC is having to sustain this onslaught. Decent choice

Soraka dies to literally everything. Someone like Nautilus or Blitz can 1v2 Soraka and her ADC

sorakas healing actually isnt that high

a aoe mage support can output more damage than soraka actually heals

such as zyra with liandry or brand

the problem is getting a counterpick

pick soraka if firstpick on support. or counter with aoe mage support

Counter with hook support that's generally more effective.

Soraka is secondary Mage, so it often end up in a skill matchup. I send a lot of Mage supports running as Soraka, because I manage to land more damage.

All you need to do is play a kill lane. Soraka does extremely well against poke lanes only (Cait, Karma etc), but she is immediately blown up by someone like a jinx and a leona etc

As of right now Soraka is the least of my worries. Honestly she's nothing more than a nuisance to deal with in lane and by the time late game teamfights roll around, if you can't kill her immediately then I'm sorry you need to up your.

My problem with choices right now is laning against a Jax or Graves.

Jax: Pick a sustain champ like Nasus: Get out pushed and be forced to fight your turret for farm. Back once after he gets rageblade and you might as well kiss your turret good bye.

Pick a brawler champ like Trundle: Be forced into a fight in minion wave and lose as he dodges your autos and the minion aggro while you take all of it. God help you if you let him farm more than you. The second he gets rageblade is when you might as well go somewhere else and gank because you'll lose every fight from then on.

Pink a tank champion like Rammus or Sion: Good luck on that laning itemization. Build armor and he'll kill you with his ult. Build mr and he'll kill you with his aa.

Graves: Engage comp: Okay Leona go in on him and i'll....annnnnnnnnd you're dead.

Sustain comp: Midlane: Why the fuck is the enemy bot lane in mid? You: He shoves to turret with five autos and Q.

Poke comp: RIP.
