A request from a Dawngate player

Whew, it's been years since I've posted on the league boards.

I quit league for dawngate quite a long time ago. Well, quit league, joined dawngate after the fact. Had some time with Smite and other games too but eventually settled on dawngate. Kinda sad to see it go, but run by EA, so these things happen and you just need to be ready for it. Personally, I mained Mina, and found her to be a ton of fun.

What grabbed me, and really, alot of people, when it comes to dawngate was their character design relative to other MOBA games. The roles system was interesting, sure, but it didn't really -do- anything in practice. Nobody picked predator, 2 glad, 2 tact, 1 jungle is standard 5 player 2 lane stuff. No, what kept people sticking around were the unusual character mechanics. Kensu's ult deleting terrain for everyone. Mina's W mechanics. Alot of the characters, even if they were effectively still MOBA characters, came off more as a remix of existing moba abilities and tropes instead of copies. Lots of stuff that made them feel different from existing characters.

Which brings me to my request. Make use of it. Dawngate's going to be gone for good soon, and alot of those ideas are going to end up left by the wayside. We're not likely to see another support like Mina. Another ADC who seems tailor made for jungle fights like Kensu. A Melee/Range stancedance carry/Assassin like Faris. So, yeah, make use of it. Take some of their ideas and put your own spin on it, just like they took some of yours and put their own spin on it.

Alot of us would really appreciate it.
