So i am confused about how the lp works. I just won 4 games in a row and got 12 points each. I then lost one game and lost 29 lp. i know it is based on how the game thinks we are ranked but how is this fair. All that work is for nothing basically. 1 loss erases 2+ wins. It really hurts my moral. I know i am not pro or anything but I still would like to advance when more than half my games. Having to win 3/4s of your games to get out of bronze? That just me or what? If i am just bad i can accept that but it does not feel balanced.

I think MMR changes at a slower rate than LP, so in the short run it will seem like you are losing more LP than you gain

but your MMR will go up and in the long run if your winrate stays positive then your LP gains might increase

LP loss and gain is dependent on the quality of the people who play against which is determined by their MMR. So if youre a bronze playing against challengers and winning you will gain massive amounts of LP. If youre a bronze playing against bronze, your LP gains will be small, and losses will be large.
