Suggestion for Next Season

I just completed my placement series.

And it hit me, damn this system is absolute crap for determining where you "belong".

2 of my friends I go to school with finished last season in low platinum. After the so called reset they are in high silver. Right now they are absolutely creaming people in silver/bronze, making it extremely difficult for those players to learn anything or climb, and not being in the proper placement themselves!

My suggestion is this:

• A player completes their 10 placement games , the system determines where it thinks they should be, in my case it is bronze 1 this season to start. -After placement is determined the player is then given a "promo" series of 3 games to try to climb immediately. -If the player wins 2 of 3 games they are promoted. -If they lose they do not climb and are reset to 0LP. -If they are promoted, they again are given another promo series to try to climb, and if they lose this series they are reset to 0LP in the new division they climbed into.

My point is, the system needs to make sense and allow players an opportunity to earn the placement they actually belong in.

Please note: I am not suggesting that everytime you are promoted that you start with 100LP, just when there is a season reset for your initial placement.

For example:

Complete placements --> Bronze 1 Placement --> Immediate promo series for Silver 5 --> Win series --> Another Promo series for Silver 4 ..and so on until you lose, then when you lose a series you are RESET to 0LP and the climb begins.
