New Evelynn Sucks

Everyone's thoughts on new Evelynn? Riot said that she was going to become a monster late game but from what I can tell she sucks all game long and it's disappointing to see. Her winrate is currently at 49.7% but she has only been out for a day...are we expecting it to drop and buffs will come in or does she only suck imo?

I have played Evelynn at least 3000+ times in rank game since Season 2.and only play eve. I have to say that the new Eve is so useless compare to the old one. We have a club that gathers all best eve main players, after we discussed all the changes and we play it, we all think the new one is awful.

Old R : AOE damange + massive Shield + Slow ( it is so good in teamfight) New R: AOE damange and stupid mandatory backward (no shield anymore, she is so squash in teamfight. adn the tp why only backward???)

Old W: remove all slow and gain massive speed ( this is so useful and help you to gank or escape ) NEW W: charm or slow. ( we think this doesn't make sense, imaging when you ambush an enemy and you use the W they will just immediately run away. it is like telling your enemy you are going to approach them. this is sooooo stupid, in teamfight you have no chance to use it on a ADC, when their ADC see that indicator they run to their support or tank, you have no way to activate this charm. and it takes 2.5 sec make it work, and it disappears fast)

the old Q was good, and the New Q is weird, it is unnecessary change. the cooldown is awful. you are like a minion use basic attack to get cs when the Q is in cooldown.

Evelynn is a early game champion and now she doesnt have the pre 6 stealth, so she doesnt have the level 2 jungle gank anymore. this is so awful. and makes her hard to gank pre 6

eve players have so many different styles, AD/ hybrid/ AP/ tank/, and now it seems only AP Riot really ruins eve and eve players this time.

maybe it is time to quit league

I couldn't agree more. They destroyed the soul of this champ and clearly didn't understand what made this champ fun to begin with. She is squishy, deals too little damage and is too easy to counter play now.

I agree. I have played mainly eve since s1, and its pretty much the only champ i enjoy playing, and they completely ruined her. How did they think she is supposed to be played now? Assassin with no way to engage or disengage? With no way to stick to targets anymore? And her new Q is soooooo clunky and bad, ugh.

I was drinking the Evelynn kool aid for a few days...then I got destroyed.

Decided to go back to Elise and went on a massive ELO win streak. Did shit in extended team fights you just don't do normally as Evelynn.

Shes clunky, her pre 6 is ass, and she doesn't scale lmao.

Poor Eve...

She survived the DFG nerf days still viable with great flexibility in builds. Now she's been gutted.

I've been Eve main on various accounts through the years. Guess I'm moving on. Hopefully Riot runs out of ideas and releases Eve's sister, who works just like the old Eve.

I don't enjoy playing her now. She doesn't play the same at all. I am very disappointed. Her game play isn't smooth.

I've only played her 3 games but I think she is insane, I just think people are still building old Eve build which isn't that good anymore. I won all 3 games and went 18/3/8, 10/3/12, and 24/7/13. She has a lot of weaknesses other assassins do but you can AOE execute their whole team, it's insane.

She is very strong, just need to get used to her, give her time. Runic Echoes and Lich Bane is a good combination.

Shes a stong champ but with the way the current meta is shes a terrible pick.

there's a few options for eve:

build glass cannon, have enough damage to kill people, die before you can get in range cause you only get the ms boost after using e... and e has about 30% the range her stealth does, so they have all the time in the world to destroy you. if you trigger the charm with q you lose passive and thus lose the dash aswell.
build tank, get in range alive, deal 0 damage, die anyway
build bruiser with tenacity, deal very little burst and no sustained damage, get reported for being useless
pick her only into no burst no hard cc enemy teamcomps.

I don't see any assassin being a monster in the late game unless fed. Even then they should fall off.

Now she'll still work for making picks, but that means she's morphing into more of a tanky support if that what you want to do with her in the late game.
