This community. (238472th post) I ain't even mad.

There is not enough that can be said about the community of League of Legends and only League of Legends, none of the other MOBAs. The death of League will be from this community. I stop playing League but eventually come back to it because it's such a fun game... but then you have the community which completely ruins it.

Chunk of Text that none of you want to read: I remember back when I first started playing League in season 3 or so.. I was AMAZED at how teammates treated their own team. It made no sense. This was the very first game I had ever played where people would just stop caring because of how a teammate was talking to them. Then, of course, I started playing more and more and I realized the reason behind it. The reason the players (as far as your own team goes) are so toxic is because everyone has a certain level of expectation and when someone doesn't exceed or meet that expectation, they get flamed. Now of course there are multiple reasons as to why "toxicity" can happen in a game, but that covers the wide majority. "Dumb ass annie can't ult" So, of course, Riot knows about this problem which they probably don't see as a problem and their only response is to ban whoever acts like this. Now first of all, EVERYONE is like this when they first start playing league. So you're just banning players that just make a new account and start again. Of course this makes them less toxic (in the in-game chat) but they still tilt and outside of the game get pissed off. Also I had never even HEARD the word "toxic" outside of League and I have a major amount of experience in online games and have beta tested for a plethora of mainstream games. (gw2/ffxiv and others) So I don't have a point in all this other than Riot doesn't actually care about solving the issue of why their game makes people act the way they do. Now I could probably sit down and brainstorm some ideas of how to go about solving the problem but of course Riot wouldn't care so of course I'm not going to take time out of my day to do something like that. (I work 2 jobs) Anyways, the direction that League is going definitely points towards nothing changing about that. I'm sure you all know why Riot changes everything every season and just swaps champions in and out of meta, it's a strategy to keep people interested in the game. Balancing does NOT exist in League, it's only a facade and a money-making strategy. Lets all keep in mind League is not a game anymore built with heart, it's now a money-making machine e-sport. I got off track and had no point to this huge paragraph other than the disappointing, disgusting problems with Riot hence me putting "chunk of text that none of you want to read" at the top, I put that there before typing this up.

Tldr: The way Riot has set their e-sport up over the past few seasons and the direction they have chosen to go in the future of League is eventually going to kill it. No one likes how this game makes you feel and because of that it's only going to be a matter of time before something comes out that we all move on to. For now, I'll continue just playing a game or two every couple weeks. Probably going to stop investing the mass amount of money I put into it too because I don't want to fund something like this. All this typing and it's just another shitpost to Riot.
