Riot is contradicting themselves in the "/dev diary: Rate of change in League" video.... big time.
At 3:50 in the video, the Rioter states that Riot likes to stay away from tinkering and changing a champ over and over. He states this is because they don't want to change a champion continuously because this gets rid of any point in playing that champion since one can truly never master a champion or steadily improve on it.
Well guys, I've got news for you. I have been playing this game since early-mid season 3, around the time of Aatrox and Vi's release. While in the beginning I played a good bit of Wu, Renek, and Kha, I ended up ultimately choosing a different champ to main and have mained that champ ever since mid season 3. That champion is Rengar, unlike many Rengar players I didn't just pick up Rengar jungle after one of his many reworks because he is "op," I picked him up because I genuinely enjoyed his character, abilities, and play style. Not only that, but I rarely ever play him jungle, I main him top.
Even though he has had many reworks and countless changes, I chose to stick with my favorite champion. I stuck with Rengar through his ups and downs, fluidity and clunkiness, bugs and bug fixes. While I can say I do thoroughly enjoy this new Rengar as much if not more than old Rengar due to being able to play him as a bruiser/fighter, I am indeed getting tired of this constant change and negativity that surrounds the champion.
So Riot, I ask this of you. Please take time to figure out what you truly want with him and think will be the best for him. I want to be able to play my favorite champion and improve on him without worrying about whether or not that same champion will exist in a couple of patches. So don't let the upset bronze adc's who don't know what counter-play is rush you into repeated and rapid nerfs and buffs. Just please take the people who have genuinely mained Rengar for ages into account too, not just the elo hungry FOTM abusers.
