AP Kog'Maw, the next Riot Pls

Back in season 5, I never had a champ I really connected with, or had much success with. But then I saw someone play Kog'Maw... but ap? This changed my whole game experience, I actually climbed from Bronze 3 to GOLD within a month by spamming Kog mid, he was the first champion I truly felt like I could play... but the preseason came around. The preseason changes were "done so in an effort to keep AP Kog'Maw approximately as powerful." Well Riot, we all saw how that worked out, but how come you've never tried to fix his AP side or make him more viable in meta. I know, I know, "well yorick isn't in meta and they never changed him!" Well to be quite honest, Yorick never had a viable fanbase to get changed, to be completely honest, most of the people that want to see him get changed probably are just followers, but that's besides the point. I know a LOT of people that miss AP Kog, high and low elo alike. So Riot, please, give us the AP Kog back. I even have some ideas that could make him more prominent as an AP caster.

Ideas:

  • Buff AP scaling ratio on his Living Artillery. The scaling on it is currently at 25% of AP, make it 35% possibly 40%. Or increase its base damage and lower the AD scaling a little.
  • I don't know if it's just me, but i swear his E used to have an 80% scaling ratio and now it's 70%... make it 80% please?
  • Instead of having just resistance shred, make it two separate things on his Q, one for armor and one for magic resistance so that you can increase the magic resist shred by maybe 2% at max rank.

That's all I got, criticize my ideas all you want, but I firmly believe that Riot needs to do something about AP Kog.

I feel the same way with current AS Kog, I hope there is a way for us to coexist. Both are different playstyles, but I will admit I feel a little threatened because you know how Riot is. I don't want either AS or AP to bite the dust but I'm not sure how to please both camps

I do so enjoy AP kog, and still like to build kog that way in ARAM if I can at all justify it given the team comp. It's probably still usable in SR though, it's just with a swarm of hexdrinker folk and assassin sorts like zed being popular it's just not a good meta for AP kog even if kogs power level might be in an acceptable place otherwise.
