Nerf Idea for boring split pushing top all game laners.

I have an idea for how to buff the team based league game and nerf the game for play-styles involving picking a champ like nasus or tryndamere and just going toplane and split pushing all game and never really joining the team game.

If riot buffs turrets in the following way it will force people to play more as a team and less by just split pushing.

  • Giving innerturrets and inhibturrets alot of more armor and more damage.
  • Innerturrets and inhibturrets looses a percent of there armor and damge for each enemy champion in the turret range, scaling from 2 or more champs
  • Rift harald also makes the turrets loose a percent of the armor and damge.

Tower strength has little to do with the reason split pushing is strong.

Split pushing is strong because solo queue players have weak macro sense and don't manage their side lanes effectively (i.e. catching waves before they crash and then pushing out the lanes so they will crash into the enemy turrets) which is why solo queue games have a reputation of being just "15 minutes of laning followed by ARAM until a nexus falls."

Keeping your side lanes pushed alters the stakes of every team fight. If your lanes are pushed out when you fight, then losing the fight means very little as the enemy needs to spend the time they won clearing off their turrets or risk losing tons of xp and gold, and possibly the turret straight up falling to minions. If you win the fight and your lanes are pushed out, then you get the objective you were fighting over PLUS you rotate to the other pushed lane and get another tower before pushing the wave into the next turret to cost the enemy more resources while you back and buy.

Pro teams basically always incorporate the important aspects of split pushing into their strategies by trying to catch waves to maximize their resources and then push out as hard as possible to create pressure and space they can use to effectively roam.

Don't forget that it forces the enemy team to divide and/or misallocate their resources.

  • If they send two people to handle the enemy splitpusher, they would be at a numeric disadvantage elsewhere on the map.

  • If you are behind and the enemy sends their fed carry to stop you, your team may be able to win the 4v4 teamfight.

  • If the enemy tank is the only one actually capable of handling your splitpush, you have denied them one of their main strengths.

Splitpushing is weak and doesn't need nerfs, nor should be be forced to teamfight.
