Kinda salty about this thresh hook on me

I was just playing a normal game of ranked (gold 3 if u care) when this thresh hook landed and tilted the hell out of me. We still won the game but lost the fight.

Hook hitboxes have been weird lately, at least weirder than before, like on the competitive stage a blitz hook travelled through biofrost's thresh and hooked Bjergson. It was TSM vs CLG.

Also I agree it's kinda BS that it worked since the hook travelled over a minion to hit you.

Here's a screen cap of the hook in your video on the minion that it should've connected with https://puu.sh/wkqGO/30d5e39078.jpg

Wow... you minion-blocked the one minion that would have saved you from that hook, RIP. xD

Hmm... seems like it's less a bug with the hook than it is a bug with hitboxes on minions/characters in various stages of movement/CC affected by latency. If that minion was only blocked on your end (say, his latency was showing you and the minion in a different spot), then his client could have sent a signal to the server that the minion wasn't there, and the hook should therefore connect on the next target.

I'm not entirely sure, but this could also have had a minor effect on the Blitzcrank grab. Even on LAN, there's minor latency. If Thresh's hitbox on Blitzcrank's client was determined to be slightly further back from where he ended up on the spectator client, then the hook could appear to travel through him, as the Blitzcrank client didn't sense him there.

Again, not entirely sure, but this is a possibility.
