Duo queue with 2 premades

The other day I joined a duo queue (ranked) with one other person. In champ select there was 2 other players with nearly identical names. I looked them up and they always play together. So... I thought duo queue was suppose to only have 2 premades (not 4) even if it is 2 separate groups. Might as well bring back premades for solo queue if Riot is going to allow this. It's just like before; a team of premades against a team of solos. But to be fair Riot said "Nobody you meet in solo queue will be grouped with more than one other person". This doesn't contradict what's happening. Still though, wtf, Riot? Also, why the heck would the queue pair up two sets of duos against a team of only solo players instead of putting them on separate teams? (Speaking from previous experiences). I know ranked has been terribly flawed since the beginning but they never really improve it. All they do is make minor and pointless changes. Don't get me wrong, it has improved, but it could be a lot better. And the fact that it takes them years... wow I guess Riot is too busy running in circles constantly trying to balance champions to do much else. Or maybe they just like buffing champs in hopes of getting people to purchase the new/reworked OP champ with RP.

Inb4 the ass kissers: Don't blindly defend Riot. They're not perfect and they could do better. It's shameful that they choose not to. Or maybe they can't do better... -shudder-
