ARURF Bench

So Im pretty sure that in ARAM I managed to swap my champ with another champ in the bench that I did not own (might have been in the free rotation but a couple of times I think they weren't). I noticed that in ARURF I cannot swap my champ for another champ in the bench if that champ is not in the free rotation or owned by me. Is this intentional?
