Why Does Unit Collision Exist?
So unit collision has been around since the very beginning of the game, and it's always been obnoxious at it's worst and undetectable at it's best. Due to the recent problems with creep block it's made me ask myself "why do we have unit collision in the first place?". I can understand not allowing champions to phase through each other as they are fairly large entities and it would look odd to have them do that, but minion collision too? it seems like it does more harm than good by creating a lot of player frustration, even when working properly, and offers little in terms of game-play except for making the lives of melee characters more painful than needed.
so you answer the question: what are the pros and cons of unit collision and is it a fitting mechanic for league of legends?
