? What are you talking about, it's easy on support. you just ward a lot and get assists....

i got an S+ on shen support on my other account when i went 2/0/25, yep it needs ALOT of work but its worth it in the end got my first chest for him

Hotaru is Waifu1 votes

how many kills did your team get?

Roit Gums1 votes

I dont remember but i had like 95% kill participation so yea i was almost everywhere

The system can tell what position you're playing the champion you're playing (top/jungle/mid/ADC/support). It then compares your score to the scores other players have gotten in the same rank range on that champion. For supports, it preadjusts you to have wards carry more weight instead of cs and assists count for the same as kills.

it seems so easy to get an s in mid or top but support thresh feels almost impossible to get an s

Thresh is one of the most popular supports, so you need a LOT of assists to get an S rank on him. Because it's based on the average scores of players playing that same champion, and Thresh is one of the most popular, there are a lot of people boosting up his statistics. Less-played supports, like playing Shen as a support as someone mentioned below, have a much easier time getting S ranks than Thresh because they have fewer statistics and, likely, lower statistics.

is everyone mad life cuz average thresh players must be gods i felt like i did so good my last game i was warding and keeping up with objectives and i got a normal a not even an a+

Brutalitops011 votes

What was your final score?

Brutalitops011 votes

Only 18 assists and only 1 death, 19/28 kill participation. Much better than average deaths, but assists were probably just around average. It also doesn't show wards placed, but you may have needed more wards. If at any point before you switched out yellow trinket you had both charges up, you weren't warding enough. If at any point after you bought the sightstone it had all 3 charges, unless you were at ward cap or had just visited the shop not too long ago, you weren't warding enough.

do you think it was an a rank game because i was doing so well all game i dont think its a s rank but an a rank not a + or s-?

Each champion has an individually rated cap for an S. So if you are not getting an S on the champion you picked than you are below the performance of other players with that champion in that role.

i will give you a quick tip if you friend me, but i dont want all the secrets out on the boards of little tricks a person can do to increase the numbers.

With that being said, I have no clue how the hell I ever get S's on Soraka or Galio.. I like them, but I know I'm not good enough with 'em to be getting S-'s almost every game lol

I get an S or S+ almost everytime I play Taric lol

It probably would be easier tbh because few people play so if you have a great game as AD Thresh you will likely get an S.

Getting an S as Teemo Jg/ADC is way easier than Teemo Top.

It is more difficult on tank supports, but AP/utility supports it's very easy to get S rank.

IcyPepper1 votes

Well, it's as hard as any other champion.

Keep in mind that you're being graded against every other player who plays that champion in that role.

You want to an S on a support? Then be one of the best support players.

Hotaru is Waifu1 votes

i just dont get it do you think this game i just played is worthy of the a grade i got because i just dont know anymore http://matchhistory.na.leagueoflegends.com/en/#match-details/NA1/2294972716/213251575?tab=overview

This literally is a game :P

Eh, Thresh is probably going to be one of the harder champions, even with what I said. Unlike several other support champions, his utility doesn't exactly bring the most numbers onto the table.

Now, let's see what could be the problem... (not a Thresh main, tho)

  1. Are you doing the QQE thing for maximum trade damage?
  2. Are you landing your ults as much as possible, and getting more than one enemy?
  3. Are you proccing your shield often, or are you falling in behind when it comes to CS?

Now... suggestions. I am not a Thresh main, but I am a support main so let's see if I can help here...

  1. Max Q over E if you're comfortable doing that.
  2. Sweep wards more often. I often forget, so I can't really judge too much, but that's one area you can improve on easily.
  3. (do not take this as a personal offense) Consider playing a more numbers-based champion if you're just looking for chests. I partially take back my original statement, since Thresh does seem legitimately difficult compared to champions easier to optimize (Soraka, Braum, and Karma being such examples).
  4. Considering taking talisman over FoM occasionally. It gives armor now, which suits Thresh much better than just health, and the active is good for imitation (because FoM's active only protects one person, not the team). If you do so, I suggest switching to tankier rune sets.

I hope that helps. I also hope I don't come across as some know-it-all, since I'm somewhat grasping at straws when it comes to Thresh. All in all, I hope for the best and wish you the best of luck getting that S~

i think its so odd for support to be such a hard role to get an s on i have gotten many s ranked game in mid adc top and jung but its so weird that its so hard for support its weird to me that thats how it works for supports

ItsOrval1 votes

Ive gotten an S+ every time ive played Janna support for the past 4 months lol. Just get more assists.

Hotaru is Waifu1 votes

i just checked you match history to compare and there isnt one janna game in your match history i dont understand unless your talking about a smurf its not there you only have jayce games and some noc

ItsOrval1 votes

Yeah, this is my main. I wont play anything but Top And Mid on this account.

iPeachy1 votes

what i've noticed is that i have to get less than 10 deaths and at at least 30 assist to get an S on a sup champ. hope that helps!

G4LLOWSC4L1BR4TR1 votes

Honestly it's not that hard. The only S+ I've ever gotten was on Nautlius, and I've had a harder time getting S scores on champions like Shyvana. It's relative to others playing the same champion in the same role, though we're not exactly sure what metrics they take into consideration. Things like wards may or may not be a part of your score, but if you play well and fulfill your role you'll start getting them.

I don't know, I went 4/0/25 once with 6 wards (i forgot to ward a lot but my score as still really good) and didn't get an S I also went 1/1/15 with 20 wards, no S. 2/0/10 with 12 wards, no S. only time i remember getting an S was when I went 6/4/20 with 17 wards placed.
