So why exactly is Garen able to deal 4 digit true damage?
I understand that Garen is supposed to be a late game powerhouse, providing unending siege pressure in a lane he occupies by being able to regenerate and clear wave when undisturbed. But is it really appropriate for how many reworks have come around to sort of phase out the 'tank meta' that one of the most unsinkable ships in the game (even with a disadvantage) can deal 4 digits of true damage executing champions from over half health? I know he should be allowed to have kill pressure or the ability to seek out back-line carries during a flank and disrupt or kill them. But with less than a full combo's worth of damage he can kill Bruisers and resistance stacking laners...
I'm kind of disappointed that for this long no one has really even addressed this as far as I've seen from Riot's side of things. They haven't announced any plans to change this, probably because it affects the competitive scene very little since Garen isn't a very good 5v5 champ. But sincerely from a player who loves to have fun with friends and play this game wanting to learn and improve, but when something as blatantly disjointed as this rework comes out it gets hard to continuously either dedicate a ban to the champion while also being mindful of other evolving bans or try and pick him out or counter pick early so that my teams won't have to be pressured into a unfavorable match-up.
I was wondering other's thoughts on this, and maybe it would be nice to hear if Riot plans to address the gratuitous amounts of damage.
