Tear of the goddess

Can someone tell me what does this new change mean?

"When you gain max mana from Tear of the Goddess's passive, it preserves your percent current mana, rather than granting you the full max mana increase as a current mana increase. This applies to Manamune and Archangel's Staff as well."

Lets say you have 50% of your mana pool at the time that you add a stack to tear or its items. What this will do will increase you max mana pool by the amount that is stacks, and the amount you currently have will stay the same percent wise.

So when you have 500 mana out of 1000, gain a stack, you have 502 out of 1004.

Long story short, instead of having 4 mana tacked onto your current mana as well as max mana, the current mana added depends on how much you have total. You will only gain a full 4 current mana if you have no mana after a spell cast. You will gain 0 current mana if you have full mana when a spell is cast. This is an extremely small nerf overall to mana sustain.
