How does one get a "S"?

I have seen far too many players get a S with scores that aren't that great. 10/11/5 not top dmg, not top CS, and when i get similar scores or even way better scores i get an A at best. So i was wondering, how does one acquire an S? ( recnt game 10/2/10 as Malphite with 2nd best DMG and top CS on team.)

It's based off the score avg. for your champ in your lane. So it will be more easy to say get an S with urgot jungle then with say vayne adc.

Ended up getting an S today on Veigar Support. About 7/1/12 because I was busy warding and keeping the enemy on lockdown with my E.

Sometimes crazy stuff works best.

Also pink wards. Placing pink wards is a score booster if you do it at least twice or thrice.

Grades are awarded based on your overall performance in the role, the champion you're playing and, crucially, where you're playing them. For example, we look at an Annie going mid differently from an Annie going support. We take a series of performance metrics and compare how you did to all other players in your region in that specific champion/position combination.

This is percentile-driven; earning a high score means you performed in the top x% of players in that champion/position combination.

Kill/Death/Assist (KDA) is a part of what players do in-game, and so it's useful to understand your performance on those measures. Here is a link that shows the various champions and their average KDAs over the past month: http://www.leagueofgraphs.com/champions/stats

Work towards achieving the expected KDA for your favorite champ/role. When you can consistently do that, it's time to start thinking about other measures of performance.

Your role and champion set the metric, your performance determines your grade. KDA, CS, objectives taken, warding, and so on; all of those have an affect on how you're scored.
