Can anyone explain why a diamond player was put with 9 players under level 30? :P

I'm level 10, was duoing with a level 28 player. We decided to invite two decent players from our match into our party and start a new game. We were put up against a Diamond V Akali, and all of the other 9 players in the match besides her were under level 30.

How and why would this happen? We are not very good.

Obviously, but why face them against a bunch of noobs?

because it's better (in the minds of riot) to drag a diamond down to the level of noobs than to pull a noob up to the level of diamonds.

It's better to ruin a bunch of noobs game rather than ruin a bunch of diamonds game. The diamonds invested more time in the game and deserve it. (im just adding this up)
