LP gain right now
just wondering, how come in ranked im only gaining about 18LP per win, but loosing 19 per loss?

Wrong.
It's based on your elo. If it's lower than what it's supposed to be, you gain less, and vice versa.
For instance, if you queue up with lower ranking players, your MMR drops and you gain/lose less. If you queue up with higher players often, your MMR rises above what it should be for your rank and you gain/lose more.
The average (aka if your MMR is appropriate for your rank) is +20/-20. Low is +18/-18, or even less. I've seen +16/-16. High is +22/-22, or even more. I've seen +25/-25.
The current time in the season has no effect on your LP gains.

well. at least this gives me hope of getting gold still this season.

As someone who has ranked for three years, three seasons, I can confirm that this never happens and your MMR is just wack.
######Also LCS starts in Spring. You're thinking of the World Championship, not the LCS. Good try though.
