I came up with a solution to Jhin's dominance in the meta. (Especially because of his armor pen build.) **His fourth shot doesn't have 100% critting chance. **(The bonus dmg based on missing health remains.) This would make building crit chance more valuable and would decrease the value of Flat Armor Pen. In compensation you can decrease his total critical damage reduction from his passive. (Although I don't believe he needs this.) Just a thought.

Gummî Bear1 votesTrue. Although with his fourth shot being like it is, building crit feels really bad. You already have 25% crit chance and additional crit chance is only 75% effective. (Let alone total critical dmg reduction) Maybe the upcoming flat armor pen changes fix this by themselves.
Ralanr1 votesI've never really felt his damage was bad building full crit. He's a late game marksman if I remember correctly and enough crit (and AS items) can bring his AD up to 400-500.
Which is honestly pretty insane.

Think about caitlyn who hits about 300-350 AD with 80% crit chance. If we ignore the bonus dmg from passives (which caitlyn with runaans gets allot more often than jhin does), with IE caitlyn has 250% total crit dmg and Jhin 190%. And Caitlyn hits twice as fast and has way more range. Thats allot more dps on caitlyns side.

But here is the calculation: 600 * 1.875 = 1,125 Jhin dps 2 * ( 350 * 2.5 ) = 1,750 Cait dps

Requiemsfire1 votesThere is nothing wrong with Jhin's crit build it's just the existence of armour pen being more accessible and cheaper to buy lead to an earlier powerspike which is really the problem.
In fact no ADC that builds armour pen does so because crit is somehow bad.
