Xearth is broken and needs help

As a champion he is just not up to snuff. A ratio tweak won't really fix him either.

In theory he is supposed to be a being a pure mana that channels the Entergy into damage.

He is also a siege style mage that does not offer burst damage from range being vulnerable once your in his face. He however is not a threat. His passive helps him restore mana but falls off rather quickly. His poke is only effective in his q. His w and e offer no real range but some cc, which isn't even reliable. His ult. The ult has lots of issues. It does not carry the same damage as say curtain call. It's hit box is tiny. The only thing right about it is the cool down.

He used to be a fun champion. After the years of changes to other classes and abilities though, he just doesn't keep up. Maybe he needs a complete over haul. Maybe he doesn't. Having his out change his base abilities into empowered forms while he roots himself is a thought. Q no longer has a change time. W has a larger radius . Personally i would love to see the stun change to another ability. Maybe a wall of energy for 2 seconds. Who knows.

I'm rambling and I'm sorry. For the role this champ feels, he doesn't bring enough to the table. Not reliable poke after early game. No damage after early game. A lack luster ult. A failed seige, poke driven mage.

As a level7 xerath with him being my go to mid, half the things u say here make this sound like a joke

Ikr, I have been spamming Xerath for the past months and the only reason I haven't had lv.7 on him for the past month has been the lack of blue essence

I also completely agree with you

Xerath is a monster in the right hands. Outright wiping squishies off the map using his ult alone. He's in a good spot.

I really don't know where to start with this. It's fine that you think that Xerath needs some changes, but I have to disagree you on several points. His Q is a decent, if not, very annoying poke assuming that you play as an immobile mage during early game. I treat Xerath as I would treat Azir: both mid - long range mage champs that excel in team fighting by poking relentlessly. His E can be very useful in catching enemies out and the range on his W is just too gracious of Riot to give to this champ. Building Rylai's on this champ spells doom for the enemy laners. No one's going anywhere if just one spell hits.

You say that he doesnt keep up? If he can take on Ahri Orianna and Syndra right now , I think he'll be fine at this current state of the game.

The only thing that felt odd for me as Xerath are Keystones.

None of them really shines on him as TLD surely works for the full combo but that's something you can do early in game and then loses all its value (unless you are so fed and confident to go duel some1) and DFT does abyssmal damage helping only if the enemy runs away with 1 hp potionless and acquires some value if you hit 3+ ppl with a single spell.

My hope is that with the new Rune system he will get something he can exploit for good.
