My First Games in 4 Months :@riot

Hello everyone! As I believe I've said before, I haven't played League of Legends since before the snowdown patch in December of 2017. At the time the game seemed okay. The usual issues (adc's) were there, but nonetheless, I enjoyed it.

Having recently gotten a brand new laptop, I decided this weekend that I needed to play again. I dove right into some normal games and would like to give my feedback on some of the things I've noticed. A few of these pertain directly to botlane, but a few towards the feel of top lane and our newest marksman, Kai'Sa.

Warding Honestly, I'm absolutely happy with the changes to wards. Rewarding the support with a sightstone after they finish their support item quest helps them to be more active in lane, rather than sit there and wait till they have 800 gold to back and grab wards, then solely focus on that. It helps make the early game more interactive with your enemy laner and overall makes the experience more fun. It also grants you a boost for completing your quest ahead of your enemy, and the little announcement in chat gives you a little sense of pride. Feels like you've done something worth doing, ya know?

Supports While I enjoy the changes to wards, I dislike the available options as to which supports are viable. Enchanters and Poke Supports seem to have fallen out of the meta. I've seen a lot of Lux support, but because they usually ONLY build damage I see them as more of a second mage. My favorite enchanters, (Sona and Soraka) seem to be a lot different than what I remember. I'm not sure if I've missed a patch or not, but they seem to have completely turned upside down. Granted, I only played one game with each of them, so I don't feel qualified to speak much more on the matter. I would like to address the lack of fun on playing Sona anymore, but that'll come later when I've got more under my belt with her.

Leona Felt she needed her own little rant. Leona seems too overpowered in the game right now. I only play draft pick, even in norms, and seeing her as a pick/ban champ this week (not sure if it's due to her being free to play at the time of playing or not) is a pretty big indicator. It's especially obvious when I managed to get her hard cc ult to a 38 second cooldown. Once she gets on top of you, there's no escape. I've been the giver of such punishment, and while it feels fun to dish out? I can't imagine what it feels like to receive. Definitely needs some number-work.

Kai'Sa Not sure if it's just my lack of practice on her, or that I only played one game with her, but Kaisa just feels... Iffy. She's definitely a champion that requires practice and skill, but her kit currently feels clunky. The lack of target prioritization on her q, accompanied by the odd hitbox on her w and the lack of a cancel on her e make her tricky to work with, but insanely powerful. (PSA: Kai'Sa and Leona are probably the most op bot lane this patch)

Mid Lane Always fun, always great to play, I love mid. Can't really say much about it other than the mixup of items. I went to buy a morello and forgot it was changed, and didn't know what to grab as a mana item for mid. Spent too much time in base browsing for another ap-mana item viable on Zoe.

Jungle I played my favorite jungler and actually felt good with her. I think Jungle is still in a stable place this patch, and don't want to see this changed up too much. Granted, Evelynn is always iffy to work with and harder to play without practice, but I really enjoyed how that game went regardless.

I'll probably make another post about this in the future when I've played more and gotten the practice I need. In the meantime, feel free to comment below? Not sure how to end posts like this
