I went ham, and I only got an S-. What more does the game want from me? Should I stop getting kills and assist to get more CS?

Clearly you didn't solo Dragon 5 times, Baron 3 times, and you definitely didn't get 300 CS as Jungle which is mandatory.

wow, i literally made a post about this a few hours ago. went 3/0/16 as support Soraka in a game that was <30 mins, and got a B+. plus i warded frequently pre-"late game". plus i cleared wards i could find. plus i assisted with objectives (that, i guess, doesn't count if i don't kill it? i actually did accidentally kill that first dragon). and i'm a support, so i shouldn't need CS, now should i? come on Riot, i HIGHLY doubt this makes sense.
The issue with the mastery system is that it thinks that junglers should have at least 8 cs/minute in order to get an s.
There are better WW players out then then you are. Go refund WW and play another champ since you suck with him if you cry that you can't get a S with him.
How many wards did you place? Pink wards seem to count a lot towards your grade.

You should play to the win conditions of the game and not worry about your letter grade.
Wards bro, You need to be warding quite a bit especially as jungle, and i'm going off the assumption that you did enough damage and got majority of dragons.
Oh the answer to your question is actually very simple. 1, look at your level. Level and CS are actually the most important things that factor into your score. Your role is taken into account from your items. You built very tanky, so your damage delt is expected low, and your damage taken is expected to be high. If they aren't like that then the game will take this into account. Your cs is really the main reason you didn't get that S+, the game takes into account what kind of cs you take too. If you start off with lots of neutral monsters, and then go to regular minions, this is considered bad when taken into account. Look at Lucian. he has significantly more gold than you. Overall, obtaining the most gold throughout the entire game is what gives you the best score, you probably just stopped taking the correct objectives, remember kills stop giving you gold if you keep killing the same person and the game factors this as a waste of time. For example look at the enemy jg, Irelia died 8 times more than you, yet she ended with more cs.

Only 92.5% kill participation you scrub. You need 100% kill participation for an S rank.
Sarcasm aside, you probably should have gotten an S ranking. I got an S for a 6/0/14 Rammus game when our team had 43 kills, although I also secured 3 dragons, several turrets, and had 178 cs at the end of the game, leaving me with a full build and 16K gold.
Your Lucian stole it from you. You can't share the glory, you have to be the sole carry if you want to get that S.

Yeah I don't get the rankings sometimes One time I went 17/1/18 and got an A+ and one other time I went like 14/6/8 and got an S. I've also gone like 1/10/4 and got a C.

This was an A for 21 minutes game. Supposedly its base on a percentile vs other players playing your champion in your role.
