Why don't you just delete Twisted Treeline ranked...
Seriously, what's the point?
The ranked mode feels so carelessly done and is always an after thought. It's frustrating because it reflect exactly in the attitude of the player base towards the map. Most players on TT ranked are trolls and their logic is simple... "no one cares about Twisted Treeline".
Then you get a group shaming from all other 5 players in the game...because you're trying to win a TT ranked game -_-
After a while, it's hard to even blame the trolls... because they're right - Even riot doesn't cares much about TT ranked. So why not just remove it?
At this point it's not even bitterness, it's just I can't justify how the ranked mode makes any sense. It's borderline impossible that I am alone in my observations.
Who is the TT solo queue ranked map for? Other than trolls and experimenters? So why does it have to be ranked?
All you've created is a map where most players are frustrated, toxic, trolls and there is no competition... or even any real rules to encourage competition.
The rank on the map means nothing, or means very little to match making... I've played with/against players from iron to challenger. My rank means nothing most times.
This single point might be the most frustrating. SR, you can play past the trolls in silver and bronze if you get to gold. Then at least all you have to deal with are the "everyone is a pro" from gold to plat. Again once you get to Gold-Plat on that map, you won't have to worry about your teammates not knowing what dragon is. (or at least that would be a rare occurrence)
Why do I get asked what the TT vilemaw (spider) does every week or so...
On TT, you say okay I'll grind through it, get to plat...but every other game you're still playing with bronze, iron and unranked players. Was Mid Plat TT...and still pulling bronze on the regs...
- Players that have no idea how the maps works
- Players that are just here to troll because they need a break from SR
- Players that wanna "try" TT for the first time and decided to do it in ranked
- Players experimenting with champs. Doesn't make sense in SR ranked, so try it in ranked TT.
I really shouldn't be explaining what altars do every other game in ranked or why they should be capped...
You may think why not, get a buddy. As soon as you're duo on TT, the map immediately thinks it should match you against a full enemy team. Which means you just signed up for a handicap match 2v3, or you're hoping for a third that would work as well as a full team.
A full squad of 3 is the only other way to enjoy this map. Which I'd be fine with again, just make it that, know most players just won't play it, and at least the ones that play would treat it like ranked.
I wanted to present some solutions but it turned into a rant because I'm tired. I just played my first game for the day and just closed the game after. I also doubt I could present a solution someone from the billion dollar company hasn't thought of, or a solution someone from the forum hasn't mentioned. This map literally exhausts me after a single game on most days. On good days, maybe 2.
A good game happens every 10 games. This fact is the one that reminds me of when to quit. It's not worth it when logically reasoned. Why do I wanna play with yield of 1 or 2 good games per week...
Every time I get sucked back in again with URF...I guess that's all this game is good for now. Since I find SR too slow, and just don't enjoy it as much, and TT seems to be getting worse yearly.
