Constant nerfs on skill-required champions/league being less thrilling

Hi I'm Korean league player and played league since season 2. Reached D3 on KR server and D1 on NA server. Loved this game from the start, still a big fan of league of legends. However, recent nerfs on champions and changes on items had made me feel little skeptical. For example,Graves numerous techniques deleted, Talon,Riven,Jayce nerfed, Yasuo extremely nerfed(7.11), Fiora nerf coming on patch 7.14, Black cleaver nerfed, armor pen items nerfed, lethality nerfed and the list goes on. I'm sure you've noticed a common pattern of these nerfs, which is that all these champions are bruisers and their performance scales heavily by your skills. Also ,most of ad(lethaliy+pen) itmes being nerfed with all tank items being buffed and being created with each special new passive. From this, you can see riot's purpose to reduce events like one player getting deleted instantly or getting outplayed easily by another champion, which does make sense but on the other hand, it also means that people will lose the challenge to master one champion that require more technique/play-style than other champions and less player being able to delete someone instantly, burst someone down fast, and many other plays that are now hard to make.

I remember the old days of league of legends when each person just burst each other, top with both bruiser with ignites, and the thrill I get from making those plays and even getting killed by another player like that. But now each game kind of have less thrill than before and I get bored easily with only few hours of gameplay.

Long story short, I see that Riot is trying to make game more balanced and make less moments like 'what? I just got deleted' but they should realize that it also makes the game less intense, thrilling and fun.

The problem isn't that riot is nerfing overpowered champions, it is that they do a bad job of nerfing them and the game is still just as imbalanced.

Give this man a cookie. When I saw those movement speed nerfs to Fiora on the PBE, I thought to myself: "Oh, look. It's a random nerf to Fiora that no one asked for. Good meme, Riot Games."

I've been around for a while and I've tried to cut Riot slack whenever they throw around random nerfs but I can't excuse this nerf. People have been waiting for months for a Fiora nerf and when they finally get around to giving her one, it turns out to be a random, silly nerf that doesn't address her issues. Sure, it's tentative and could possibly change but I doubt that.

the problem people have with fiora is that she is deletes you while being simultaneously undeletable.

Laning isn't a one way street. There's two people in each solo lane and four in each duo lane. What's fun for one person can sometimes be frustrating for other players. That's the main reason Yasuo is in the process of receiving an ability rework currently. A champion like him is fun to play but frustrating to play against for the person who has to lane against him. Playing against champions like Yasuo can often feel like an annoying chore instead of fun, hence Riot is doing these reworks to reduce frustration and add counterplay while attempting to keep the core identity of the champions in place. Sometimes they get it right, other times they don't. Based on the list of champions you mentioned though, it seems your definition of fun is "It's only fun when I get to beat my enemies with overpowered and/or oppressive champions".
