Sightstone is still alive and well (stop crying lee sin)

Every jungler was upset when tracker's knife got removed and it's not hard to see why. vision is nice. being able to see things is really, REALLY freakin nice. But now they're gone, and because of this, people almost immediately assumed that lee sin would become a garbage pick without his mobility crutch.

but what if i said that sightstone yet lives? item 3649 item 3649

yes

sightstone is alive and well, and while not as readily available as it once was it is still there, quietly awaiting the blind monk to find it again. It is an item that has long been tossed around the bot lane by supports and even marksmen alike.

i think you know what im getting at here. sightstone is alive and it dwells within the relic shield item 3302

yes the relic shield, or more specifically it's quest reward for the item tree. item 3401

now hear me out, i know the ward benefit isn't quite as readily available as the sightstone was but with the way relic shield works and the fact that it provides effective gold generation, i think it's just what lee sin needs to keep his vision in a world that's moving toward restricting access to vision.

If anything, lee's accessibility to ward hopping was just moved back in the game, not crippled. but to compensate for the loss of early pressure via ward hopping, he's gaining a source of gold generation via the execution passive which can incentivize a lee sin to gank and help shove a wave after a gank and not take gold away from his laner.

i'm only saying this because i haven't really seen anyone else doing this and after testing it a bit i've found that it's pretty decent and i've even kept an ally or two from dying with the execution passive when Safeguard was on cooldown so i definitely feel that there's something to it. i'm gonna be doing more tests with it following this post but i want to hear everyone else's opinions and findings regarding incorporating the relic shield into their builds for lee sin. and if people have been doing this then i just can't find anyone who does.

(I may post other off build stuff in the future if i think it's noteworthy) Kayle
