It's a sleep that doubles the damage of whatever the next source of damage is. So if you fully AP mage throws an AA at the enemy when they get stunned, that's a whole heaping 150 damage comin' atchya. I remember a duo who did Thresh ADC and Zoe support. Thresh built full crit / dark harvest and every time Zoe slept the enemy, thresh would come in and one shot them
If you don't like it you should take cleanse or build QSS.
