The technical reason clash was cancelled

Just to clarify, what I am about to say is a rumor and I cannot confirm it is true. When I heard clash was cancelled for technical reasons I went and did my own research on why it was happening. According to Garena (the internet service that runs leauge servers in china) the reason why the clash was cancelled was because games would immediately crash while loading in, causing the game to be considered over and a random team getting the W. This is what was happening in China, I have no idea if it is the same in NA but it could possibly be true for NA

It wasn't just the game auto assigning winners. While the game mode was active it was causing game wide server lag, and drops in normal matchmaking as well. The entire game would crash if it launched in its current state. Rather then having a broken mode that'd also cause the other modes to die, a call was made. They did try to fix it but failed, they were aware almost 8 hours ago... but were to stubborn to tell anyone till now. Be glad you wernt Europe, they got told 25 minutes before launch.

So instead of trying to fix the issue they just fuck over the weekends of hundreds of thousands of people here in NA?

{quoted} ...causing the game to be considered over and a random team getting the W.

So how's that different from how matches normally play out in Season 8? (Kappa no Kappa)
