Can Kassadin get the 10 damage on his Q back now?

Patch 5.3 notes

This was only ever a temporary 'fix' in patch 5.3 and it really hurts his laning phase.

The range nerf on his ult has crippled him so that he isn't the late game monster he once was (even with the ap ration on his ult, the range nerf was just killer). His laning was bad before the -10 on Q, now it's a joke, without the big payoff of the lategame monster.

TL;DR 10 dmg back on Q plz <3

TBH, now that they nerfed the actually problematic part of his kit (his ult), they could revert like 70% of those unneccessary nerfs.

Yeah, that is my point exactly.

Now his ult is a shadow of what it was, can his Q jsut get its basic damage back? maybe he wont have lowest winrate then :D

No he needs a complete rework that finally allows him to become a viable and non-oppressive pick.

His "identity" of being a spammy flash champion is holding him back from becoming a champion that can be tweaked properly with number changes hence why he keeps getting nerfed to the ground.

I don't agree. He needs some damage tweaks to reward his lesser mobility.

His ult defines him, I wouldn't want to see it changed.

Sadly that's not how it works, the only thing his ult defines is how many times he can get nerfed whenever he sees any form of play.

Sion is a perfect example, he went from anti-fun and toxic to a great champion that can be tweaked with numbers.

Kassadin is literally being held back by his "identity" which is his ultimate and the reason why he's been nerfed numerous times

I just want to use that sweet nether blade on his more often.

i´d rather see them up his w-dps (sth alongside 0,3ap on hit and 15/20/25/30/35 basedmg per hit passive)...his melee is clearly putting him at risk and should get rewarded a lot more.

I think if the 10 damage on his Q is not enough, this would be where I would add more power. I think the ap ratio on ULT, with this q buff would be a good place to test it for a couple of patches, though.

I think riot is spot on with the melee reward ethos, Just with the exception of that Q nerf which wasn't needed with the new ult in mind.

Yup bring his silence back.

Earl Eulrich1 votes

i think that would only be possible if it would be delayed of sorts...either sth. like q marks the target and w/ult procc the silence or just q will trigger a silence after 1,5sec or sth. Just to make sure the old over the wall without any sort of response option/counterplay hit&run can´t happen again.

uhm no i hope they wont actually today i had a kassadin in my team that just rekt the enemy team i dont think he needs more buffs

Q options of effects :

1- 0.75 silence on target 2- makes the target cast slower for 1.6 seconds, adding a casting time for it's abilities of 0.4 secs. 3- reduce the sight of the target to melee range. 4- shield negates the first negative spell cast on Kassadin (like banshee)

They got rid of the silence for a reason ya know.

they could have just reduced the duration or change the effect to something not 100% utterly useless

Anivia more than makes up for her mobility with her wall

I always see everyone upset about the state of Kassadin, yet whenever I play him I completely dominate unless I'm up against Yasuo

you have to be 100% sure you are not facing AD when using Kassadin , and even if you face AP, you end up having a painful lane phase

Eternal Nocturne1 votes

Yea unless its some really weird AD mid (had a JarvanIV mid once and wrecked him). Otherwise it really depends on what AP you lane against, Ahri is pretty easy once you hit 6, just wait for charm and r over it then make sure you dodge her q on the way back and its kosher, but Fizz will destroy you if you arent safe.

"Lesser mobility" wut

Having what is basically a flash every 6/4/2 seconds (as long as you have the manaz item 3174) sounds like pretty ok mobility to me.

item 3174 does nothing for Kassadin , have in mind his ult increase in cost each time it's used, so it ends up costing 800 (most expensive spell in the game). he burns his pool really fast, so what he needs is to have a large pool item 3003 /item 3027 /item 3110

also, worth noting thats his ult, when many champions have mobility spells from level one

Lesser mobility is Nami speeding herself up with her E Lesser mobility is Quinn kickflipping off an enemy that has her cornered Lesser mobility is Amumu having to have an enemy to latch onto

And that's disregarding completely stationary champs Anivia Mordekaiser Nasus Kassadin is practically Usain Bolt next to Fiddlesticks
