Think of it like a Balance. Check book style. Each loss deducts, each win adds. MMR gains are different then LP gains because they are affected by two modifiers. First is uncertainty. Lower # games = Higher uncertainty. So you get a more dramatic gain/loss per match off what's called a K factor earlier on in a que.
The second is System expectations, which are built from probability theory and distribution models. Effectively it modifies slightly your potential Gains/losses off if it feels your favored. This would be the We Variable in Arpad Elo's Adjustment formula.
So its not that you just lost 1 game then it swapped, You have a recent string of 4 back to back losses putting you into a MMR range where team averages are G4-g3 rather then G3-2.
Sadly Information on the exact mechanics behind Riots LP system are hidden. What commonly is assumed by us players is being above or below your assigned MMR impacts Lp Gains and losses with it being slanted to favor the respective direction.
An assumption I have, Your LP gains might get lowered with K, that way it keeps a tighter range between LP and MMR. Riots official number last time I saw one was 150-300 games till they expect their system to have some one reasonably placed. If my assumptions are right then your looking at a K slowdown at 150 games which woulda been 2 matches ago for you.
Im always looking to get more information on Riots systems. When you have a net gain of 3 more games compared to right now let me know what your LP gains look like. Not a streak mind you, just net positive 3 games.
At the moment your at a net positive of 14. When that becomes 17 fill me in on your LP gains please.
(so right now your Raiting is starting MMR + the value from 14 games. I dont know Riots system. My assumption given the nature of single match rounds is that We Variation mostly shows up for duo queing so I don't think its a dramatic impact on your account.)
If riot used similar numbers and K to Elo then your looking at something like 200-500 Points gained.
