Just coming back to the game from two years away.. Where'd spectating go?

I've got this here beta client thingy, because it apparently allows for use of a built in replay viewer. SUPER handy tool for improving your play, something I value highly coming from very competitive SC2 and HotS backgrounds. But uhh... It seems my other major learning tool, the spectating of high elo games at will, is gone suddenly? Is it just temporarily disabled in this client? or is it gone gone?
