Gangplank. The Saltwater Scourge. The Bilgewater Badass. A Terror of Top Lane and Low Elo Queue (CRIT RUNES GANGPLANK). A champion known for his versatility and his Salty Sailor Sabering Sorties. A champion that I Truly call one of my own. Simple and effective, this pirate has been at my beck and call for any game i feel like making landlubbers shiver me[their] timbers. Always an adaptable pick but not quite as effective as some others could be, it somewhat gives me pause to hear of an up and coming rework to the pirate. After seeing ryze's concept of a tank mage getting shattered by the rework to his passive and ult among other things (which i felt ultimately ruined his image for me doesn't have to be for everyone else) , I feel that it might be extremely difficult to cope with a worse Gangplank redesign/rework/rewhatever that conforms him to modern meta and yet, completely destroys who he is as a champion. (much like the gutted information on champions nowadays as well as the reasons why people joined The League to begin with) I noticed a long time ago that Gangplank was due for a rework but that was when Sion took the front burner and GP was on the backburner for his work to be done. I had mixed feelings on it hoping that he'd be likely the next candidate to get work done to him but also worried that his rework wouldn't be done with delicate care and precision to remake him into a more fitting day and age that retains his identity with the changes that betters his way of being who he is. I guess all i'm really wanting to say here is that if he's still in the works, I'm hoping that he's not the same... but that he changes for the better. I'd hate to lose what I once knew about my favorite champion just take a whole new turn for the worst... Much like Guts saw with Griffith in Berserk. (and if you don't know what i mean by that, read the manga or watch the anime. (CONTENT MAY NOT BE SUITABLE FOR YOUNGER AUDIENCES!) Gangplank
