Ranked games and LP

The unfortunate truth... a heck of a lot of people just give up at some point even in ranked games, and it's a little unfair how the people who try really hard in the matches trying to carry and make an impact on the game are pulled down by people who just don't give a damn. This isn't me calling out FEEDERS REPORT, but surely its even more unfair that the whole team will get the standard -18 / -20 / -22 league points because 1 member of the team isn't bothered. I would suggest some kind of system to assess the value of team contribution, (turrets destroyed / score / objectives etc. the kind of stuff that determines whether or not you get a c- or an S+) and then only deduct the LP that is appropriate for that. In case you are guessing the above scenario just happened to me so now I feel a need to rant. XD Yasuo

This is standard? One must be pretty bad to lose this much LP. 18 is the MOST I've ever lost. The least is 14.

On another note, I've been saying something similar for months now (since I started playing ranked). I agree 100% that we should lose/gain LP based on our personal performance because if you play an amazing game but lose because of feeders/trolls/unskilled players, it's not fair. The same could be said vice versa.

Part of the reason League is so great is that winning and losing is all that matters in ranked. Thus LP is ONLY tied to that and the matchmaking for the specific game (harder opponents=more LP).
Tying LP to individual contribution would set people on the same team against one another for LP gains/losses and no one would want to play tanks/support etc. since their contributions are less obvious most of the time. (plz don't give the standard "we can balance for it don't worry XD")

Tying it to champ score is just as bad, since some champs are easier/harder to get a good score on.

Rough.

Your gains and losses are based on your win/loss and comparable MMR... I'm sitting on a roughly 60% win rate, gaining 25 and losing 12, give or take.

As for what to do when someone on your team just gives up? Well... not much you CAN do unless you're good enough to give them hope, or just SO good that it doesn't matter. That's how Diamond+ ranked players get their smurfs to diamond DESPITE having the exact same team mates we get in ranked.
