I'd like to propose the idea of champion mastery awarded in Co-Op vs AI Intermediate

Hello, This is my first ever post on the Forums, so excuse me if this isn't the right board or what have you. As you may have guessed from the title of the post, I'd like to request champion mastery to be awarded in Co-Op vs AI Intermediate. If most fun game modes like ARAM, Bardle Royale, etc can award champion mastery I think it'd be a good idea to have champion mastery be awarded at 50% the normal amount per PvP would, or if at all. I'd like to suggest this as mastery is particularly what I like to play for for enjoyment in League of Legends, however sometimes this is severely mentally draining in Normals/Draft as some metas are just super annoying and I don't like the idea of my happiness on the accountability of 4 other players per match, if it has to be.

What's your thoughts on this idea? What are the Pros/Cons that we might be overthinking. I look forward to your responses!

Thanks, The Urf Is Flat

Nah i disagree because the bots are so bad and u are with other people who are probably playing coop to beat up bots as they probs just went 0/10 in a ranked game and need to vent so they will pay stomp champs and fuck around. The bots also don't punish you for dying and their coding means they never contest barons or dragons.

No. Especially no if you are talking about Mastery tokens for 6 and 7 as well.

Pros: I can get easy mastery points and levels on champs I couldn't play myself out of a wet paper bag on in a normal game.

Cons: Champs in Bots don't play like people at all.

Which makes them insanely easy to abuse.

Which means I can get an S on champs that I have actually never played before.

Which means now I'm level 7 on multiple champs I don't know how to play vs. people.

And now all the reward of getting that Mastery 7 is gone.

I play norms to relax. Bot games are boring to me. The Bots are predictable, stupid, and also break some stealth mechanics and actually make some champions extremely hard to play the way they were meant to be played.

All that aside I appreciate your post. It's well structured and somewhat thought out. Even if I disagree with the intent. See you around!

Champ Mastery availability does definitely need to be addressed. Mastery tokens are still inexplicably locked to classic Summoner's Rift. It's absurd that an explicitly casual queue like normal SR awards tokens, yet Ranked Twisted Treeline, an explicitly competitive queue, or other casual queues, such as ARAM, don't.

With that said, I'm split on Champ Mastery in Co-Op games. Not because it'd "devalue the achievement of Mastery" or any of that nonsense, but because post-match grades could be highly misleading. Match grades are supposedly awarded based on how well someone plays compared to other players, rather than being an objective score. As such, grades would be massively skewed in Co-Op games by a) people legitimately trying to learn and b) people absolutely stomping the bots. Players trying to learn could be discouraged simply because they didn't obliterate the bots.

Regardless, Champion Mastery in Co-Op games would overall be a nice addition. Maybe with tweaked grading, probably with the reduced point gain you mentioned, but overall, neat.
