How to shut down the ARURF argument.
Here's how you slam the entire "ARUrf Is better because Then its not just OP champions!!!!!!!!312321!" argument. Simply put, when you play ARurf now, one team facerolls the other no matter what. It's Entirely out of your control. The reason for this, is because when you have no control, and its up to the game. It's always going to give one team a hard advantage. When you're able to pick your own champions, you have the choice, you can play your fun champions and try new stuff, OR, you can pick those champions that will make it easier to play against the enemy team. That was the beauty of URF, trying new and fun champions that you think would be interesting to make into a broken champ, all URF is now is a broken gamemode where one team facerolls the other with absolutely no choice in the matter. Adding bans might help somewhat, but in the end you're still forced to play a random champion without choice as to what YOU want. Like with all of riots decisions, its not about what YOU want, its either about what THEY want, or what "everyone" wants. (Aka the loudest people) And finally, to shut down the "Now both teams have equal amounts of OP champions!" Argument. Simply put, the gamemode was never about winning. All this argument does, is show how Badly we've been trained to only care about winning, since sure, if both team have equal "OP champions" (They never do.) Then technically you have an equal chance to win (You dont, Certain champions even when considered "OP" are more "OP" than others) however, your personal enjoyment will still be completely neutered. Regardless of if your team is winning, those OP champs on the other team will still DESTROY you, 100% of the time, unless you're with your teams op champions. all this does, is for at minimum, 4 of the 10 players in a game to be effectively useless, and Feel it REALLY hard. You might say "But that even happened when you GOT to choose, because if you pick something that isnt one of the broken champions you'll still get facerolled" and yeah, you might, but at least then you'd be sure to have some enjoyment out of it, from getting to learn what its like to try out that champion in that mode. As it stands right now, you're forced into a random champion, that you probably did NOT want to play in the slightest, and it leaves you feeling like the system riot has implemented to "Balance" an unbalanced gamemode has beaten you. You should NEVER feel like the game was designed to give you a disadvantage unless its explicitly meant to (Think dark souls). If anybody can think of any other reasons as to why ARURF might be better than URF, please let me know because i'd like to either get a better concept as to why people even enjoy it with brainless abandon, or to deconstruct your argument until you're only a torso- no legs to stand on.
TLDR: When you take away the choice and ability to choose how to play, you invariably make one side guaranteed to win before it even begins. If they add bans, it fixes that problem somewhat, however you still are at the mercy of the RNG system Riot has implemented.
