Why doesn't Ezreal Q proc Luden's Echo?

I just tried this, and his Q didn't do extra damage when it landed with full charges. Anyone know why this is? or is it just a bug?

this is because ez's q procs on-hit effects, not spell effects. So ez's q will proc static shiv, but not luden's echo.

Ezreal's Mystic Shot applies on-hit effects, but not spell effects. Luden's Echo is a spell effect.

Abilities that apply on-hit effects just like auto-attacks are treated as auto-attacks for the purposes of interacting with pretty much everything.

They won't apply spell vamp, Rylie's, or Liandry's like abilities, and they'll interact with thornmail, warden's mail, Omen Ninja Tabi, and Doran's Shield as though they're auto-attacks.

Does this mean Luden's Echo damage will proc Liandry's/Rylai's? I don't mage much, so I'm curious.

Echo won't proc those effects, but any ability that does proc those effects will proc Echo.
