Aurelion Sol SHOULD BE ALLOWED TO BE SNEAKY

GoAGANE··17 votes·7,326 views

Aurelion Sol is able to be seen in brushes. Now explain to me how that is fair. Doesnt seem to make sense to me that all the champs in this game can hide in brush. but not Asol.

Now here's my Idea. When Aurelion Sol enters a brush his Stars come in, and then when he autos or uses an ability on a champion/minon/creatures his stars would then come out regardless of being in a bush or not. You've managed to make his stars come in when CC'd so why not brushes huh? :)

Please do add your thoughts to this post. AurelionSol

Casually walks near bush. Flies into sky randomly. ,,Oh, it's just Sion."

Well a dragon that is...

  1. Big as a size of a mountain
  2. floating above
  3. AND having stars orbiting it was a bit too much compared to malphite I guess.

But again, we have a hamster that can blind a already blind monk. So I guess.

I'll refer you to Cho'Gath who is bigger than 10 bushes put together

AurelionSol Real Star Dragons don't need petty bushes to win fights.

True but would be a great bonus! AurelionSol

No but you might need them in order to avoid getting enslaved by Targonians omega lul

Even 4000 hp Zac can hide in bushes.

but Aurelion is to amazing, hiding his glory in bushes would be a sin to humanity! [sg-janna]

Aurelion Sol is a pretty strong champion, it's just that 1. he is fairly hard to learn and 2. his playstyle doesn't appeal to alot of players. I don't think there is actually alot of room to buff him, especially since this buff would have a really significant impact.

If you want that to get added, then he will probably need significant compensation nerfs along with it.

GoAGANE1 votes

How So? Re-read the post again.

Chembaron Yamada2 votes

I did read the post and I know that you want to balance it by making his stars being sucked in to not deal damage while he is unseen in a bush.

However, do you really think that making bush strats available to a champion who never was able to use them in the past would not increase the relative power of that champion? It clearly is a buff, not net neutral. And like I said, he doesn't really have room for buffs.

GoAGANE1 votes

That's the thing why shouldnt a champion be able to use bush strats? it's unfair surely? I mean yeah it could be a buff but tbh its not MASSIVE broken buff is it? It's the fact that a champion basically cant use brushes seems a bit unbalanced to me.

I mean what would you say if ur champ was able to be seen in a brush? Due to something you cant help?

CloudedLogic2 votes

I would call it a bug, and it happens to me in ARAM sometimes.

Thefrostyviking3 votes

Doesnt Aurelion get that handicap because his E is a rather long to extreme long roaming ability?

No one roams quite like him, not even Gaston :^)

Rodeffs2 votes

Actually a good idea

Bob the Toastr2 votes

Totally agree with you. It's unfair that everyone else can hide but he can't

Chembaron Yamada2 votes

Unique downsides of a champion are not necessarily a bad thing, oftenly they are used for balancing reasons.

Pyke "It's unfair that everyone can get bonus health, but he can't" Kalista "It's unfair that everyone can auto with 100% of their AD, but she can't" Yasuo "It's unfair that everyone can crit for 200% of their AD, but he can't"

All of these restrictions are there for a reason.

GoAGANE1 votes

But being able to be seen in a brush? That sound like a fair restriction to you?

Chembaron Yamada3 votes

Honestly, it has always been a restriction for Aurelion Sol and he is doing fine, his mains are doing great actually.

It is unique to him, he was always that champion with telegraphed presence and it goes well with his theme. He is that great space dragon that doesn't need nor want to hide. Everyone is supposed to witness his greatness.

In short: don't fix what isn't broken. If you do this, it requires quite some rebalancing and serious compensation nerfs. Otherwise he will be absolutely insane on his mains. He is already extremely strong when played well, when these guys were not able to utilise bushes. Give them this tool on top and they will probably get out of control.

GoAGANE1 votes

Excuse me for being blind, but i don't really see how disabling his stars in brushes so he's able to use them is a huge buff. Could you explain a little bit more cus i dont quite understand.

BLACK REALM GOD2 votes

but then... how will i be able to make jokes about not being seen by the enemy or playing hide and seek as sol?

Bottom Laner2 votes

I agree. Aurelion Sol cosplays when?

GoAGANE1 votes

Soon

InTheory2 votes

Like how about make his interaction like that of fiddlesticks that if you don't move for a small period of time (while standing in a brush) the stars disappear until he takes action again?

GoAGANE1 votes

Yes thats also a good idea, but i personally think it would make more sense for them to just come in so he can move in the brush.

Do it exactly like Teemos passive!

AmetDeCrypt1 votes

there's a difference between standing in a bush and being able to hit people with invisible damage from bushes. because his stars can do damage they will never not be visible when he's in a bush. sion's q does the opposite of that and it's made him essentially garen 2.0 on aram where bushes can't be warded.

I agree with the invisible bush damage, but then it makes me remember Singed poison trail disappears when he goes into fog of war. lol

So you say that a Space doggy that is bugger than your own planet should be allowed ti be sneaky. Okay. Might as well make a item 3147 that's size of the universe itself.

GoAGANE1 votes

What i'm saying is there's no reason that he should be the only champion in the game that cant hide in a brush. Using your argument for exampl then chogath etc should be able to be seen aswell. + im only talking about his stars.

BremerdanGorst1 votes

Illaoi's isn't quite as bad, but her tentacles tell you that she's generally nearby as well. Kinda sucks, but I doubt they're gonna change it.

SugeMinPikk1 votes

Uhhhh no

ASol has a miniscule playerbase that is perfectly happy with their 56% winrate. He would need compensation nerfs for this.

Reaper Soraka1 votes

Seems fair.

How does he pull his stars back in once he attacks someone/thing? leave and re-enter the bush?

GoAGANE1 votes

I'd say so yeah. Seems about right.
