Bringing back multiple ways to build champions (Nasus focus)

I am sick how they are getting rid of building one champion multiple ways. For example... removing the ability to play AP yi. Which was both fun for yi and the people he played against. It gets rid of variety and makes the game more dry when they do this.

What i want to have done....AP Nasus rework making him a squishy and high mobile late game based sniper mage

How: Q -- (Give his Q damage based on his AP and gain range equal to 2x his AP...) 300 AP = 600 range W(Wither) -- Already fine as is E(spirit fire) -- (May need to adjust AP ratios, but fine as is) R(ult) -- Increases his CDR (Based on AP)(+1% for every 25 AP or +20% for 500AP) ALSO (Give him bonus move speed for kitability that scales off AP)

Please tell me what you guys think! If you think it is a good idea please spread it ;P, if not then maybe improve my idea and spread your improved idea!

I stopped taking this post seriously when you said AP Yi was fun to play against.

So...why? I understand wanting champions to have more diverse playstyles instead of just one general playstyle with a few situational items, but this suggestion is beyond ridiculous.

Firstly, making nasus into an AP-based sniper champion doesn't make any thematic sense, as he is clearly designed as a hulking egyptian god-style warrior, which means his kit should be focused on being up-close and personal. Not to mention sniper-type champions are generally balanced by being less mobile but with more utility, and making a super fast, high damage character also have high range would be broken.

Second, giving scaling range is silly, especially at 200% AP, because a devoted build can realistically achieve over 1000 AP. Same thing basically with AP-->CDR/movespeed.

Finally, nobody had fun playing against AP Yi. He was a low counterplay, feast or famine champion that also made no sense thematically.

Cheers.
