Okay so my brother who was gold 5 (with someone carrying him) thinks he's good he got placed silver 5 this season and has his friend carrying him up the ranks friend plays a carry role , my question is does this make him good or the people he's playing with good

Eventually he'll have to solo queue and if he doesn't deserve his rank, he'll drop.
