So i started this game a bit over a year ago, at which point i inevitably found myself playing against kassadin, pre silence nerf. quite frustrating to say the least, there was no counterplay to 4 nuke spells and a silence and i swore then and there that kass was an utterly cheesy champ i would never play. Fast foward to his rework, silence removed and no AP scaling on his ult? Well that seemed fair enough to me and i started to play him to get a feel for him as a truly competitive champ I would have to work at to be good with. Kassadin is now my main, he has about a 43% win rate at the best of times, an abysmal pick rate and inferior burst compared to other assassins. All he has is mobility going for him, and Riot decides to strip him of that, too? Why? He cannot duel like some other assassins (zed, akali, talon) and gets outdamaged by all of them. His base damages are terrible. you cannot assassinate anyone with the foresight to build a banshees veil and the common sense to position well. You can attempt to dive the back line, but that is only if they don't have the sense God gave an infant. Kass is easily peeled, so more often than not you just signed your own death warrant with such an attempt. The only real benefit to the ult range was so you could actually attempt to salvage your lane post 6, because kass loses to every other champ pre 6 and it allows you to get into trading distance so you can fight back, as your range is awful as well. I would love to understand why these nerfs to an already struggling champ
